Group Reflection : Los Ingenieros - Goodbyes are Not Forever

Group Reflection: Goodbyes are Not Forever

Well. Here were are at the end of the semester. 14 weeks filled with a lot of holidays in between fluttered by like a butterfly. To be honest, with such a great academic load built up with the faculty subject, Technical Writing was one of those subject where we were loosen up a bit and have some fun as team. Our friendship, among our team mates runs from the times of our very first semester here, and well working together wasn’t much of a problem as we knew what was each other’s plus and minus points.

The greatest challenge, to us was to collect the data. Although our research was on a smaller scale, with about 30 respondents, we realized that getting 30 people to fill up your questionnaire form is a real headache, especially when you target group is small and you want all types of people represented well.

We also learnt that coming up with a proper time management plan was also important as we were always busy chasing deadlines. Thanks to the Gantt Chart, we were able to almost keep our speed as we planned earlier.

The presentation on the final day of class went pretty well rather than expected as because we bombarded the groups who presented earlier with a lot of questions regarding their research, and well we received our fair share of questions as well and thankfully we were able to answer them professionally.

The research done by our classmates also opened on our eyes towards many little things that we never even imagined before.

“THERE ARE MEN WHO SPEND RM400 A MONTH ON BEAUTY PRODUCTS”

“A DATA PLAN AS A STUDENT IS TRULY IMPORTANT”

“STUDENTS DO LEAD A UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLE IN UNIVERSITY”

And a few more research that we as equally as intriguing as well.

All in all, we truly learnt the methods and effort it takes in doing a research, and truly we will put it to good use when we are doing our Final Year Project in a few years’ time.

Before forgetting, we would like to extend our gratitude to our Lecturer, Miss Hani Suraya, for guiding us through the research from the very beginning till the very end, in her very own classy way. We would also like to give due credits to Mr Djamal and Iman Fitri Ismail for letting us know their insights of the life and adjustment challenges of an international student in UTHM.

The classmates too were an awesome bunch, though half of them were already our crazy friends from the same faculty and the other half which slightly less noisy than us,
(Laughs) and thanks for being such good classmates.

We really wish that the interaction between students in the class can be improved in the near future.

We would like to say thanks to everyone and may you be blessed all year round.

Merry Christmas

and A Happy New Year too.

And well. Good Luck for you examinations.

English and blogging were two things that I was always passionate about and as a blog editor’s footnote, I, Tillak, would like to end this last post of ours on this blog with a quote:

Learn everything you can, any time you can, from anyone you can;

there will always come a time when you will be grateful you did.
